The courtroom inside your head felt painfully familiar. What struck me is how often we mistake mental activity for progress. We rehearse, revise, defend, and anticipate, yet none of it changes the world outside the window. Then a pigeon lands, entirely unconcerned with our internal trial, and quietly reminds us that reality has never been participating in the argument...

Wow I’m amazed by this post. It felt like looking at a mirror or more accurately reading a mirror. I have never identified with a post as much as I did this one. You did a great job delivering those states and as someone who is currently living live through the exact states you beautifully lay out, I’d say you nailed it with precision.

The noble art of overthinking. Too much, always too much. Trying to force it instead of just letting things be. I’m happy this hit the spot for you.

You have a habit of doing that, as you say.

Sounds like anxiety made a nest in your head. The only difference I rendered on my wall is that my tea never gets a chance to go cold. Great piece.

Anxiety and I are on good terms, best friends, we nod to each other in the hallways of my mind.

I hear you.

Same courtroom, a cold coffee, and a cat. I’ve had afternoons like this. Sharp writing.
